Many new games, including ones inspired or influenced by this, just don't do things right. The experience you have playing this is good. The animations are fluid, gameplay is solid, and nothing really disrupts the feel or flow of the game. It's got no unnecessary frills, weird extras, or cut-corners like oh so many other games. It's well balanced, and the relative simplicity is a good thing for the game. It's got bugs, some animations look a little unpolished or undetailed (some small things I've noticed recently, not that I care), there's few enemies compared to many of the newer titles, it's pretty short, and the gameplay isn't particularly creative or challenging, once you get the hang of it.īut it does this all to a good standard.
